149. Vespers—Saturday
|
{260}
Jam sol recedit igneus. |
THE red sun is gone, |
| Thou Light of the heart, |
| Blessed Three, Holy One, |
| To Thy servants a sun |
| Everlasting impart. |
There were Lauds in the morn, |
| Here are Vespers at even; |
| Oh, may we adorn |
| Thy temple new born |
| With our voices in
Heaven. |
To the Father be praise, |
| And praise to the Son |
| And the Spirit always, |
| While the infinite days |
| Of eternity run. |
